超声焊接是连接纤维增强热塑性复合材料的有前景技术。现有研究主要集中于织物材料,而将其应用于航空结构中的单向材料将为主承力飞机结构的连接提供机遇。然而,由于单向层熔融时的高度各向异性流动,焊接搭接边缘可能出现不期望的挤出流现象。本研究调查了焊线相邻层的纤维取向如何影响焊接过程和边缘缺陷的产生。通过不同铺层方式和能量导向器配置的超声焊接实验,在焊接搭接区域内外的不同位置监测温度。采用单搭接剪切试验、相应断裂面分析和显微截面观察对接头进行表征。结果表明,焊线相邻层的各向异性流动和各向异性导热性对边缘缺陷的出现和位置有显著影响。通过采用仅覆盖焊接搭接区域部分面积的能量导向器,开发了一种新方法来减轻单向层高度方向性特性引起的边缘缺陷。该研究为单向热塑性复合材料的超声焊接工艺优化提供了重要指导。
