Intimate contact development for automated fiber placement of thermoplastic composites

摘要整理
热塑性复合材料自动纤维铺放(AFP)工艺中的固化步骤对层间粘结强度的发展至关重要。传入纤维束与基体界面间的层间粘结强度由两个机制共同决定:(a)两个表面间亲密接触的发展,以及(b)接触表面间融合粘结(愈合)的形成。虽然文献中已提出多种理论亲密接触模型用于研究不同制造工艺的接触发展,但测量亲密接触程度的实验方法仍十分有限。为填补这一空白,本研究基于带材表面拓扑特征,提出了一种新的实验方法来量化AFP工艺中的亲密接触程度。该方法基于表面轮廓的承载面积曲线(BAC)。研究在抛光钢模具上铺放碳纤维/PEEK单向带材,改变铺放速率、压实力、热气枪(HGT)温度和模具温度等工艺参数。基于所提实验方法计算亲密接触程度,并与文献中的预测模型进行对比。利用BAC方法和有效亲密接触模型研究了AFP工艺参数对亲密接触程度的影响。结果表明,亲密接触的发展主要受热气枪温度和模具温度的显著影响。
