The Challenges and Opportunities in Offshore Marine Engineering
Dr. Isabella Moreno
摘要整理
Offshore marine engineering plays a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of infrastructure for energy, communication, and transport in marine environments. However, it is characterized by complex operational conditions, environmental constraints, and evolving regulatory frameworks. This paper explores both the challenges—such as harsh environmental conditions, high operational costs, and ecological risks—and the emerging opportunities including digitalization, renewable energy integration, and innovation in materials. A forward-looking analysis suggests that addressing the challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration and technology adoption can unlock new growth pathways for the offshore engineering sector.
