Offshore Renewable Energy Systems: Marine Engineering Challenges
摘要整理
Offshore renewable energy systems, particularly wind, wave, and tidal energy, represent a promising approach to generating clean electricity. With their high energy potential, these systems are being deployed globally as part of the transition to renewable energy. However, the deployment of offshore renewable energy systems faces numerous marine engineering challenges, including harsh environmental conditions, technical complexities, and high installation and maintenance costs. This paper discusses the engineering challenges involved in the design, installation, and maintenance of offshore renewable energy systems, with a focus on advancements in materials, power transmission, and system reliability. It also explores strategies to overcome these challenges and achieve greater efficiency in harnessing offshore energy.
