Flow Field Analysis of HVAC Face-Blowing Duct Based on CFD

Finite element model of airflow field inside the face-blowing duct of air conditioning system on a light bus was established according to its special structural characteristics. With computational fluid dynamic (CFD) theory and method, the airflow field was simulated in software Fluent to obtain the airflow distribution to each outlet. Based on requirements of riding comfort performance, structural optimizing measures were presented to get smoother airflow field inside and more reasonable airflow distribution of outlets.
